Keeping scammers out: what changed this month, and why

An ID check proves that someone is a real adult. It does not prove that they are honest. Here is everything we changed this month because of that: who appears in public, what can be written there, how new sellers start, and what we still cannot promise.

Every buyer and seller here has passed a government-ID check. That keeps most bad actors out, and it was never going to keep out all of them. A genuine document proves that someone is a real adult. It does not prove that they are honest.

Over the past few weeks we went through the whole platform with that in mind, from the pages everyone sees to the parts nobody should ever notice. This post is what changed, what it means for you, and what it still cannot do.

What prompted it

Earlier this month a seller account passed the identity check with a real document, used someone else's photograph as its profile picture, and put the handles of two other messaging apps in its bio. Its purpose was obvious: move buyers somewhere with no verified identities, no block button and no report form.

Nothing about that account was unusual. It is the most common scam on feet pic platforms, and until then nothing here stopped it. Worse, a seller did not even need to finish the identity check to be listed. Choosing the seller role was enough for a profile page, a place in the directory and a card on the live feed.

Sellers are public only once verified

A seller now appears nowhere public until they have passed the identity check. That covers the seller directory, their profile page, the live feed, the leaderboard, the live badge and search engines.

  • "Joined" now means verified. The card announcing a new seller on the feed appears when they pass the check, not when they sign up.
  • Unverified sellers see their own page, with a note that it goes public the moment they are verified. Nobody else sees it.
  • The buyers directory is for verified sellers only. An account that has not proven who it is cannot browse buyers' names and bios.

If you already sell here and are verified, nothing changes for you.

Contact details stay off public pages

Other messaging apps, social media handles, phone numbers and email addresses are now refused in profile text, captions, comments and livestream titles, including the usual tricks for disguising them. Payment links still work, because buyers pay sellers directly and always have.

New sellers start slowly

For their first week after verification, a seller can start only a handful of new conversations a day. Replies are never limited, and buyers can message a new seller as freely as anyone else.

A real seller in their first week mostly answers buyers who found them. An account built to move buyers elsewhere depends on messaging as many of them as possible, as fast as possible, before anyone reports it. The limit costs the first almost nothing and takes away most of what the second needs.

Suspended means gone at once

Until now, suspending an account stopped it from doing anything, but what it had already published stayed up until we removed it item by item. Now a suspended seller disappears from every public page at once: profile, gallery, posts, comments, directories and the leaderboard.

A suspension is not a deletion. If it is lifted, everything comes back as it was, and the seller can still delete their own content while it lasts. Removing content for good is a separate decision, made by a person and explained in a written statement of reasons, as the Content Rules describe.

Private calls stay private

Only calls our own server sets up can ring you now, so every call has been through the same checks: who may call whom, blocks, rate limits and the time limit. Once a call is connected, neither person can add a third participant, extend it beyond its limit or start a recording on our video provider's servers.

The parts you should never notice

Most of the review was about weaknesses that only matter if someone goes looking for them. In short:

  • Uploads are what we checked. An upload link now accepts only a file of the declared type and exact size, and expires after five minutes. A new profile picture goes live only after the file has been checked.
  • Reporting stays open to everyone. Signed-out reporters complete a quick automated check that they are human, so the report form cannot be flooded and fake reports cannot crowd out real ones. Reports of non-consensual images, of content involving minors and of threats to someone's safety are still handled within 48 hours.
  • Verification results cannot be faked or replayed. We accept a result only when our verification partner has signed it, each result counts once, and an older decision can never overwrite a newer one.
  • We delete what we said we would. Resolved reports and moderation records are now deleted automatically after five years, as the Privacy Policy promises, and copies of the emails we send are cleared within weeks.
  • Stricter browser protections. Every part of the site is HTTPS-only, and no other website can embed our pages to trick you into clicking something you cannot see.

Why you are asked to accept the Terms again

Section 6 of the Terms, section 3 of the Content Rules and the Privacy Policy changed with this, to describe the automated checks and what they may and may not do. That is why everyone is asked to accept the updated versions once.

One thing they spell out: no automated system removes content or suspends an account. A person decides.

Being straight about this

None of this makes the platform scam-proof, and a post that claimed otherwise would be doing a scammer's work for them.

  • Filters also catch innocent sentences. Now and then a perfectly ordinary bio or comment will be refused. Rephrasing almost always fixes it, and if it keeps happening, email info@allisonfeet.com with the text so we can fix the check.
  • We cannot control your device, or anyone else's. Nothing stops someone screen-recording a call or taking a screenshot of a chat on their own phone. No platform can prevent that.
  • We cannot recover money. Buyers pay sellers directly and we never hold the funds, so we cannot reverse a payment sent to someone who does not deliver.

That is why one rule matters more than anything on this list: keep the conversation here. On this platform there is a verified person behind every name, a block button and a report form. Off it there is nothing. Anyone who insists on moving elsewhere, whatever the reason they give, is telling you something.

Where to go next

The staying safe guide walks through the scams we see most often, for buyers and for sellers, and what to do step by step if something goes wrong. Feet pic scams: 8 red flags covers the warning signs in more depth, and why everyone here shows ID explains the check that all of this builds on.

If you sell here and have not verified yet, the verification guide takes you through it in a few minutes, and your page goes public the moment you pass. Everything else, from what is free to how memberships work, is in the FAQ.

Everything in this post protects you here. None of it follows you anywhere else.
